We have recently been awarded funding for 2025/6 to continue our work from the previous project we ran in 2024/5. We are looking forward to delivering awareness and exercise sessions including health walks, community events and workshops. Our first focus this year is in Beckton and Royal Docks.
Our project runs until March 2026 and this year includes a focus on skin cancer and lung cancer, two of the fastest growing now in the UK, as well as those where screening takes place - breast, bowel and cervical cancer and testing for prostate cancer where survival rates are now much higher with early detection and treatment. We will be running on line courses to support menopause and pelvic health, as well as producing more videos.
We welcome enquiries from potential venues, community groups and organisations in Newham to work with. If you would like us to deliver to your group or organisation, please get in touch to discuss.
